The seven-day diet has gained popularity over the past few years, proving that it is possible to drastically lose weight in a weeks time. It isn’t exactly known who created the seven-day diet. It does promise however, that you can lose up to 10 pounds in that seven day period, provided that you follow the strict guidlines of the diet. The seven-day diet is a plan consisting of weeklong restrictions to your diet, which are in turn intended to help you lose a significant amount of weight in a short period of time.

This diet is created to assist you in meeting your desired weight-loss goal without hindering your lifestyle in any way. There have been many success stories from people while following this seven day plan, thus making it a desired weight-loss technique.

HOW IT WORKS

Each of the seven days of the diet have you eating a different combination of foods. It is not known why certain foods are allowed on certain days. For instance, on Monday you may consume as much fruit as you like, but you are not allowed to eat bananas, however on Thursday you may consume a total of 5 bananas. On Tuesday you may only eat vegetables and vegetable soups. On Wednesday, you are allowed to eat as many fruits and vegetables you like until you are full. Thursday, you are only allowed to consume 5 bananas and 5 glasses of milk. It’s important to note that the milk must be whole. The last 3 days of the diet, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you are allowed to eat up to four servings of meat no larger than 3 ounces, along with a green veggie side.

By properly following these steps, you will be guaranteed to lose at least ten pounds, which is primarily due to the low intake of calories while on the plan. Remember that you will also lose a fair amount of muscle while on the diet due to the low caloric intake. You should also be careful when resuming normal eating habits once you finish the seven-day plan as you may gain the weight back rather quickly if you do not maintain healthy eating habits. Leading an active lifestyle and eating healthy will allow you to continuously maintain a healthy weight.
